Tufts Medical Center and Tufts University are committed to the continuing education of persons conducting human subject research at the institutions to ensure that high quality research is conducted with integrity. As a result, the institutions have a mandatory research education program.
While the Principal Investigator is ultimately responsible for the conduct of a research study, the Principal Investigator and all key research personnel involved in the design and conduct of research involving human participants are charged with protecting subjects' rights and welfare.
